Reflection House
“Visualizing a boy running and playing with his friends in the neighborhood. They run into this house, walk in and out of those houses. Picturing adults leaning against the fence chatting and watching their children run and play.” These fond memories "reflect" the homeowner's childhood living experience and the relationship with his mother.
After decades of being apart, growing up, living, studying, and working abroad alone, the owner wants to come back to a home that facilitate his mother and himself, different ages living together in harmony. A house that suits two people and coexist for their ages and needs.
In addition, neighbors have been good friendships to each other over the years and through generations. The surroundings help embody good memories and a strong connection among people within community. Architecture, then, displays Thai way of life, which a family lives together in harmony.
AUN Design Studio
AUN Design Studio, a small Bangkok firm founded in 2007, approaches its commissioned projects with the context and identity of the projects. With various internationally recognized and awarded winnings, AUN focuses and values each client’s story and translates it into unique creative outcomes through design and analytical thinking processes.
